Areas adjacent to turbines in the main hall are typically Class I Division 2 (C1D2) zones requiring appropriately rated LED high bay lighting.

Control Rooms

While control rooms themselves are typically unclassified, those adjacent to Class I Division 1 (C1D1) gas turbine areas or Class II Division 1 (C2D1) coal handling areas must maintain proper separation and pressurization per NEC standards for hazardous location boundaries.
